Close—Up is both a series of drawings and a small booklet. It combines drawn details of gestures and mimic in film stills with text-fragments from Proust’s Auf der Suche nach der verlorenen Zeit.
The fragments describe the moment of waking up, being in between dream and reality, still feeling alien to the real world.Through the combination with the images the fragmented text becomes narrative, but the story it tells stays indecipherable and starts to question the idea of subjective entity.
